Episode Notes

Read Revelation 21-22.

The closing chapters of Revelation reveal one of Scripture’s most glorious promises: everything will be made new. In today’s episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef takes us into the new Jerusalem, where nothing will ever again separate God’s people from the presence of Jesus Christ.

There will be no more death, mourning, crying, pain, loneliness, brokenness, or sin. God promises the water of life freely to those who thirst, and His children will inherit an eternal Kingdom beyond anything this world can offer.

Scripture describes the new Jerusalem as an immense and radiant city, adorned with precious stones and illuminated by the glory of God Himself. Yet its greatest treasure will not be its beauty, size, or streets of gold. The greatest joy of heaven will be God’s presence. There will be no need for sun, moon, or temple because the Lord Himself will dwell with His people and be their light.

Dr. Youssef also points to the restoration of Eden—the tree of life, unhindered fellowship with God, and a creation finally free from the curse of sin. Christ has promised to return, making the decisions we make today eternally significant.

For believers, judgment will not mean condemnation but reward. Our faithfulness, sacrifice, and service for Christ matter. This devotional encourages you to store up treasure in heaven and live with joyful anticipation of the day when God’s people will see Jesus face to face and reign with Him forever.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your incredible grace. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

“No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads” (Revelation 22:3-4).
