Revelation 16 reveals the final outpouring of God’s judgment against rebellion and the kingdom of the Antichrist. Dr. Michael Youssef connects these seven bowls to the plagues of Exodus and points believers to the ultimate triumph of Jesus Christ over Satan.

The confrontation between God and Pharaoh in Exodus foreshadowed an even greater conflict still to come. In today’s episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef turns to Revelation 16, where seven bowls of judgment are poured out upon a rebellious world and the kingdom of the Antichrist.
These judgments echo the plagues of Egypt on a global scale: painful sores, seas and rivers turned to blood, scorching heat, supernatural darkness, upheaval surrounding the Euphrates, and finally catastrophic destruction as a voice from heaven declares, “It is done!”
Dr. Youssef explains that Revelation presents the ultimate collision between God’s perfect justice and humanity’s persistent rebellion. God has demonstrated extraordinary patience, but Scripture also teaches that judgment will not be postponed forever.
Yet for believers, the message of Revelation is not one of fear but of confidence in Christ. At the cross, Jesus declared, “It is finished,” completing the work of redemption. In Revelation, the declaration “It is done” points toward the completion of God’s judgment and the final defeat of Satan.
No matter how chaotic world events may appear, God’s purposes remain sovereign. Christ has paid the price for His people, evil will not prevail, and the victory of the King is certain.
Prayer: Jesus, thank You that You have redeemed me and taken on the judgment I deserve. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
“Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed” (Revelation 16:15).
