After the final judgments of Revelation 16, Scripture turns to the downfall of Babylon—the false religious system that opposes Christ and His Word. The Antichrist may appear powerful, but his kingdom will not endure. False religion will fall, heaven will erupt in praise, and attention will turn to the marriage supper of the Lamb—the joyful celebration of Christ and His Bride, the Church.
Then Jesus appears as Faithful and True, the Word of God, crowned with many crowns and possessing absolute authority. Nothing is hidden from His blazing eyes. He comes as the victorious King, fulfilling the prayer, “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Satan is finally defeated and thrown into the lake of fire.
Revelation then brings us to the final judgment, when the book of life is opened. Dr. Youssef urges every listener to face the most important question of eternity: Is your name written there?
For those who have come to Christ in repentance and faith, there is no need to fear. Jesus has paid the price, given His righteousness, and secured eternal life for His people. Make certain today that your hope rests completely in what Christ accomplished on the cross.
