Episode Notes

God’s Word is filled with promises of His care, provision, and faithfulness. Yet when life suddenly turns for the worse, it can be easy to wonder, “Is this really part of God’s plan for me?” In today’s episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef encourages believers not to abandon faith when suffering, disappointment, or sorrow arrives.

A difficult season does not necessarily mean you have done something wrong or that God is displeased with you. Instead, hardship can become an opportunity for the Lord to do something amazing in your life for His glory. God’s ultimate purpose is not merely to make life easier, but to transform His children into the likeness of Christ.

Dr. Youssef reminds us that faith opens the door for God to work in impossible ways. Unbelief can cause us to miss what God is doing, but trust in His character and promises allows us to experience His changing power—even in circumstances we would never have chosen.

In seasons of suffering and sorrow, cling to Christ. Return to His Word. Remember that God works all things for the good of those who love Him, and rejoice that in Christ, all things—life, death, the present, and the future—belong to you because you belong to Him.

Prayer: Lord, help me to remain steadfast in my faith in You today, rejoicing in Your goodness and sure promises. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1).
