Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread

Episode Notes

Many people face the fear of not knowing how they will provide for their next meal, pay their bills, or recover from a sudden setback. In today’s episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef encourages believers to turn immediately to God when hardship comes, asking Him to renew their hearts with hope and strength.

Jesus taught His disciples to pray, “Give us each day our daily bread.” This is more than a request for food—it is a call to daily dependence on the heavenly Father. Just as God provided manna for Israel in the wilderness, He continues to provide for His children according to His wisdom, timing, and love.

Dr. Youssef reminds us that God has not promised to give us next year’s provision all at once. Instead, He teaches us to trust Him one day at a time. Tomorrow’s needs can easily create anxiety, but today’s mercies reveal the faithfulness of God. The same Lord who sustained His people in the wilderness is able to sustain you in seasons of job loss, uncertainty, illness, waiting, or financial pressure.

Through Jesus Christ, God has given us all we need for life. As we seek Him daily, surrender our fears, and release past hurts, we will see His hand at work. Let go, trust Him, and receive His daily bread.

Pray with me.

Precious Lord, I pray for my daily bread today—physically and spiritually. As I wait, may I abide in You. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
