Jesus’ parable of the shrewd manager challenges believers to think eternally about everything God has entrusted to them. Dr. Michael Youssef explains how our time, money, abilities, and spiritual gifts can be invested in the spread of the Gospel with results that will last forever.
In Luke 16, Jesus tells of a shrewd manager who understood the importance of using present resources with the future in mind. His example points believers toward a far greater purpose: investing what God has given us in things that carry eternal significance.
In today’s episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef explains that our possessions, opportunities, and spiritual gifts are Kingdom resources. When we use them to serve others and advance the Gospel, we participate in work whose impact may reach far beyond what we can see in this life.
We may never know how a conversation, gift, Bible study, act of service, or faithful ministry helped someone come to Christ. But one day in heaven, the eternal fruit of that stewardship will be revealed.
The world measures success by what we accumulate. God calls us to measure our lives by faithfulness. Invest in what lasts forever.
Prayer: God, give me Your eyes to see the lost around me and Your words to share the hope I have in You. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and the one who is wise saves lives” (Proverbs 11:30).
